Platform direction

Platform direction, introduced deliberately.

Ledrix is being developed around structured financial-data migration workflows. Specific migration routes will be introduced progressively, based on product readiness, platform access, data requirements and the needs of each migration.

Availability, explained

A migration route is more than a connection

Being able to reach records through an API or an export file is only one part of a practical migration route. The route also needs an understood approach to the work that happens around the data.

A connection can provide access to data. A reliable migration route also needs a controlled way to assess, prepare, validate and review what happens to that data.

Not every route follows the same process. Scope and workflow vary with the source system, the destination system and the requirements of the business.

Direction, not a timeline

How Ledrix is approaching platform expansion

  1. Horizon 01

    Current product direction

Financial-data migration workflows focused initially around Australian accounting-platform transitions, introduced selectively as each route is ready.

  2. Horizon 02

    In active development

Additional route capability, source-data assessment, workflow controls and validation patterns being tested and refined.

  3. Horizon 03

    Future ERP migration direction

Structured support for the source-data work around ERP implementations, subject to product readiness, platform access and implementation requirements.

These horizons describe direction and sequence of focus. They are not a delivery schedule.

Initial focus

Initial accounting-platform focus

Ledrix’s initial direction is centred on accounting-platform migrations where businesses and advisers need clearer visibility of source-data condition, migration decisions, validation activity and cutover readiness.

Platform-specific capability is introduced route by route. The available workflow may differ depending on the systems involved, the type and condition of the data, required access and the agreed migration scope.

Examples of accounting-platform migration pathways may include MYOB, Xero and QuickBooks environments, subject to the relevant route’s readiness and access requirements. Platform names are used descriptively as plain text and remain trademarks of their respective owners; Ledrix is not affiliated with, endorsed by or partnered with them.

Readiness

What determines migration-route readiness?

Component 01

Platform access

The appropriate source and destination access must be available and safely configured.

Component 02

Data coverage

The route needs a clear view of which records, transactions and supporting information can be assessed or migrated.

Component 03

Mapping and destination rules

Source structures need an agreed, testable approach for how they will be represented in the destination environment.

Component 04

Validation approach

The route needs meaningful ways to compare outcomes, identify differences and support review.

Component 05

Operational workflow

Teams need a practical process for ownership, exceptions, approvals and cutover activity.

A route is not considered ready simply because data can be extracted or loaded.

Scope

Every migration still needs its own scope

Even where a platform pathway exists, the business context decides what the migration actually involves. Two organisations moving between the same systems can need very different work.

Platform direction provides a foundation. Each migration still needs a clear scope, agreed responsibilities and appropriate validation.

  • Historical-data needs
  • Opening balances
  • Payroll history and obligations
  • Inventory or project data
  • Attachments and supporting records
  • Bank feeds and reconciliations
  • Reporting requirements
  • Source-data quality and cleanup needs

Future direction

Future direction: ERP source-data migration

Ledrix is also developing a future direction for the source-data work surrounding ERP implementation. The focus is on readiness, preparation, mapping decisions, workflow coordination and validation evidence — not on replacing the implementation partner’s methodology or platform expertise.

ERP migration capability will be introduced progressively. Specific routes will depend on product readiness, platform access and each implementation’s requirements.
